Have you looked at other Martial Arts websites? Tae Kwon Do, MMA and Kung Fu?  Do they all look the same to you? Cheap with giant fonts screaming outrageous claims about free everything from digital books, DVD’s and t-shirts? Because that’s all they really have to offer.

At Wall 2 Wall Martial Arts you will find all your MMA needs, but we use the term MMA differently. Most people think about Mixed Martial Arts, I prefer to call it Multiple Martial Arts. Most MMA gyms have watered down the foundations of what makes MMA so popular.  I love to watch the UFC and MMA fights just like everyone but that doesn’t mean that I think that training to be an MMA fighter is realistic for most people.  Instead most people may want to exercise or like the training of MMA but never really go for long, there is a lack of progression, lack of focus and achievement that Martial Arts like Judo and BJJ can provide.  For me MMA is what you make of it, which is why we offer multiple martial arts.

Judo teaches take downs and throws like no other sport can, not even wrestling.  By understanding and executing the theory of Off Balance you are able to throw even the largest opponents to the mat with force and speed.  Judo is a tremendous and dynamic combat sport that demands both physical prowess and great mental discipline. From a standing position, it involves techniques that allow you to lift and throw your opponents onto their backs.

Judo is a rigorous and demanding physical activity.  The practice of judo techniques helps people develop basic and fundamental physical fitness in a number of ways, such as the development of strength, flexibility, agility, speed, dynamic and static balance, explosive power, and endurance.  The practice of active attack and defense helps develop reaction time, coordination, and overall physical self-confidence.  Practiced today by millions of individuals, judo is undoubtedly the most popular combat sport in the world.  In terms of sheer numbers of participants, judo is the second most popular sport of any sport.  Millions have discovered the spectacular enriching sport, and way of life, we know of as judo.

Brazilian Jiu Jitu (BJJ) is a martial art focusing largely on grappling and ground fighting. It utilizes natural body leverage and proper technique to obtain dominant control on the ground and, as a result, provides greater position for striking or submission holds.  BJJ has been proven, when used properly, to be an effective method for dealing with bigger and stronger opponents and has become increasingly popular due in part to its great success in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. It can be trained for self defense, sport grappling (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts competition and has found its way into the training regiment of nearly every successful martial artist worldwide.

Kickboxing is a rigorous workout — controlled punching and kicking movements carried out with the discipline and skills required for martial arts — can do wonders for feelings of frustration and anger. Practicing kickboxing moves can also help to improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.  Kickboxing also reduces and relieves stress, Kickboxing fans say the sport helps them to feel more empowered and confident.
